Schomburg Refrigeration began operations in 1945 by Bill Schomburg and his wife, Rickey. The family operated the business from 1945 to 1975 at 1507 Caledonia Street. Bill's son, Ken, joined the family operations and incorporated in 1985. During this period the company grew and relocated to its location at 1815 Caledonia Street. The father and son team remained with the business until Bill's retirement. The company was purchased in 1994 by Forrest Moe and Mary Martin and has continued to be a family run organization providing quality sales and services in the Schomburg Family tradition. In September 2009, Schomburg Refrigeration purchased a different facility and relocated to 316 2nd Avenue South.

Under this new leadership and with an experienced management team, the company is growing and expanding. Along with the standard quality service offered in commercial refrigeration and air conditioning, Schomburg has been offering commercial heating, and comprehensive commercial food service equipment sales and service for over 10 years. In a continued effort to provide our customers with the most complete commercial service possible, we have expanded our facility automation and monitoring with the addition of one of the original names in the industry, ASI Controls. As in the past, we have solidified our ability to supply and service this offering through full factory training of our staff and a local stock of repair parts.
